Description
NOTE: Any and all sale this piece makes will go in equal measures to - Pathway India [where i sponsor two mentally disabled kids- Divya and Ganga], to a kid, Aidan, who I sponsor in the US [Save the Children], and to a rural school in TamilNadu, India, which educates children who come from families that live below the poverty line. Thank you all for your generosity.
The inspiration for this abstract work came from the images I saw under a microscope of a drop of water, bubbles, strong lights reflecting off of a broken glass slide and a broken coverslip. From the dispersion patterns and shapes of water bubbles i saw through the cracked coverslip, I extrapolated my imagination [stretched it a bit ;) ] and made this abstract painting using blue background and small speckles representing bubbles. The uneven and misshapen shard-like part of the painting crudely represents the cracked slide and coverslip. It took a while to paint the individual bubbles as abstract and vivid as possible. I used filbert brush, palette knives [varying sizes] to achieve these effects.
